Julia Feix

Julia is a highly accomplished architect with an exemplary track record at producing work of the highest standard on a variety of different project types and scales. She designs with a strength and drive and has an incredible eye for detail, perfecting the details in every project. Jointly with Tarek, she leads all Feix&Merlin projects, with particular interests in residential and hospitality projects as well as commercial buildings and retail fit-outs. 

Julia is a fully qualified architect with over 20 years of experience in practice. She trained at the North Rhine-Westphalia Technical University in Aachen, Germany and the Escuela Tecnica Superior de Arquitectura de Madrid (ETSAM), Spain. As a student she worked for various large German practices, including GMP and B&K+, before joining Alsop in 2001. Julia first worked with Alsop's 'BIG Architecture' team on major regeneration projects such as the Bradford masterplan. Julia went on to become Senior Architect and later Associate at Buckley Gray Yeoman Architects where she was responsible for the design and implementation of a number of commercial projects, including the refurbishment and residential extension of a mixed-use scheme in Clerkenwell. 

In 2013 she moved to Brazil to head up F&M's satellite office in Sao Paulo. Julia has excellent communication skills, is well-versed in interpreting complex briefs and working with clients to achieve their aspirations. She speaks fluent German and English, as well as conversational Portuguese and Spanish.
