Briar Hickling

Briar is the the co-founder of Linehouse, an architecture and interior design practice established in 2013 with offices in Hong Kong, Shanghai, China and most recently Auckland, New Zealand. Growing up in a rural community in New Zealand, Briar feels a deep connection to the New Zealand landscape. This connection to the land, community and localisation is evident in her work. With a background in Interior Design, Architecture and Theatre Design, Briar is interested in exploring the theatricality of space, how we can celebrate our daily rituals and introduce elements of whimsy, voyeurism to create unique spatial qualities.
