The Nanjing Back To Yaxi Manor Resort, designed by YuQiang & Partners, is a project that embodies a harmonious lifestyle between humanity and nature. The design focuses on preserving nature's essence and seamlessly integrating it into the overall aesthetic. The project incorporates rammed earth walls and earth-covered buildings that blend perfectly with the surrounding landscapes.

The reception center of the hotel features a central island platform that displays organic produce from the estate's farms, emphasizing the connection between operation and design, as well as life and nature. The reception desk is hidden on one side, allowing the island platform to become a focal point. The interior design draws inspiration from nature, using wooden textures to convey a sense of time and cultural depth. Transparent glass windows blur the boundaries between indoor and outdoor spaces, allowing natural light to fill the interiors. The restaurant and private dining areas create an interactive social theater atmosphere, with a focus on wooden elements that showcase the uniqueness of the local culture. Bamboo art lamps, bamboo walls, and ceilings painted with white bring the essence of Yaxi's bamboo culture into the living experience. From the designer's perspective, the harmony between architecture and environment begins with reflection, exploration, and application of local characteristics - the initial steps toward returning to nature. The Bamboo Grove Single Bedroom , structured with Tatami mats, forms a Japanese-style tourist cottage, where bamboo and wood interweave between earth and walls. A skylight opens up the natural vista of the space, and the designer places blocks of original wood color within, creating layers and an intriguing play of light and shadow. The use of natural materials, such as rammed earth and wood, not only promotes environmental protection but also contributes to the artistic expression and overall ambiance of the spaces. The design creates a relaxing lounge area that encourages social interactions and provides a serene environment for guests to unwind. The "Ya Ji" Lakeside Banquet Hall, capable of accommodating up to 200 guests, offers a versatile space for conferences, banquets, and events. The deep and layered tones of the wooden ceiling add a rhythmic sense of richness to the ambiance. Overall, the The Nanjing Back To Yaxi Manor Resort serves as a retreat that combines external landscapes with a narrative of seclusion. The dynamic changes of the surrounding environment, including the sounds of frogs in the paddy fields, birds in the woods, and gentle lake waves, create a serene atmosphere that allows travelers to reconnect with their inner peace.
